Mike Phillips Mike was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved with his parents to West Chester (right outside Philadelphia) Pennsylvania where he's lived ever since. His professional music career began when he was 15, when his mom drove him to his first gig at North Junior High School. Soon he was playing parties, school dances and other events around West Chester. Once out of college, Mike played the Philadelphia/Jersey shore club and college circuit for many years. Eventually Mike grew out of the cover scene and made a push to make it as an original artist. He played showcases in NYC, had his original songs played on Philadelphia's WMMR (Cyndy Drew show) and WMGK radio stations and had the infamous "major label interest" from EMI and MCA Records, a fun time, but nothing came of it... After years of playing non-stop, he took a break from the music scene and concentrated on spending time with his family. (A good move for sure, as the little ones do grow up quickly you know!) In 2004 Mike resumed his music career; completing several full length original CDs, playing out in the Philadelphia club circuit while also having the fortune of playing with members of Twisted Sister, Pretty Poison and Robert Hazard. Playing to bigger and more enthusiastic audiences than ever, Mike continues to pursue his passion of playing rock guitar and writing/recording original music. To pay the bills along the way, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Finance from Shippensburg University and Master in Computer Science from Villanova University and has worked for several successful corporations outside of Philadelphia, in an area known as the "Route 202 corridor". Mike currently splits his time between his houses in West Chester, PA and Dewey Beach, DE.
